Security issues seem to be a re-occurring element when thinking of the actual design of the new currency. Can we expect less but more effective security features in the future? How will this alter the design strategies for this currency? I’m also interested in how this note will be available for electronic use. Why will we always have the need to have something physical like paper money, opposed to a more integrated electronic money/payment system? As most money (I’m guessing) is mostly transacted electronically via telecommunications systems. How will this money function on these levels along with it’s current status of paper money. Who will get to determine what themes, imagery, iconography, and other design aesthetics will be placed on this bill? Does future money represent what it denotes today, as far as the exchange for goods and services, or can it represent ones intellectual properties having DNA codes on it where the user defines denominations of the currency. How will denominations be established? Sorry I suppose these other questions should start a new topic. |
